My research topic for my PhD at IIM Calcutta is "Network Dynamics of Knowledge Creation in the Wikisphere". I often use this blog as a bouncing board for my ideas, or just as a way to keep track of the interesting things I come across. My areas of interest are Collaborative Knowledge Networks, Human Computer Interaction, User Interfaces and Social Media My PhD research involves a lot of Network Theory and Agent Based Modeling and Simulation. To me, these approaches are a ray of hope, a chance to make sense of the incredibly rich and complex world around us. They provide us with explanations grounded in the micro-world - the world of individual, local action, a world of small steps and axiomatic logic - for often complex and puzzling phenomenon when viewed at the macro-scale. .
